About Fine Print, and who publishes it

Fine Print checks whether job application bots are legit by reading what each company publishes about itself. It is published by Dreamwork (dreamworkhq.com), made by Ponder Labs, Inc., which also makes one of the tools we cover. Pages are written by The Fine Print editors.

Who publishes Fine Print?

Dreamwork (our publisher) is an AI job search agent that auto-applies for you, finding roles that fit your resume and tailoring each application. It is made by Ponder Labs, Inc., founded by Colin Johnson (CEO) and Ben Adamsky (CTO). You can read about it at dreamworkhq.com.

Because Dreamwork makes a tool we cover, we hold its file to the same eight checks, use only facts it publishes, and mark what those facts do not cover as not found. On the home page it takes one "best for" pick; the other four go to other tools.

What does Fine Print do?

  • Reads each tool's terms, privacy policy, pricing and refund pages, and reports them with links and dates.
  • Explains the rules that matter around these tools: LinkedIn's User Agreement, what hiring software vendors say they detect, and the FTC's warnings about job scams.
  • Gives you a checklist to run on any tool we have not covered.

What doesn't Fine Print do?

  • No hands-on testing, user surveys, success rates or reader reviews.
  • No star ratings or scores.
  • No paid placement. No company paid to appear here.
