Ponder Labs, Inc.[36]
Is Dreamwork legit? What its own terms say (2026)
Dreamwork (our publisher) is made by Ponder Labs, Inc. It has a free plan and Pro at $39/month or $99/quarter, with no annual contract. Its cancel and refund page says payments are non-refundable except where the law requires, and cancelling in the 7-day Pro trial means no charge. Its security page says no application goes out until you tap Apply, unless you have turned on Autopilot.
What does the Dreamwork file show?
| Check | Finding | What we read |
|---|---|---|
| 1 Named company | Documented | Ponder Labs, Inc.; founders Colin Johnson (CEO) and Ben Adamsky (CTO). |
| 2 Price before signup | Documented | Free $0; Pro $39/month or $99/quarter. |
| 3 A refund you can get | Red flag | Payments are non-refundable except where required by law. Cancelling during the 7-day Pro trial means no charge. |
| 4 No job-site password | Not found | Does not list LinkedIn login credentials among the data it collects, but does not say it never asks for them. |
| 5 Says what it sends | Documented | The security page says nothing goes out before you tap Apply unless Autopilot is on, and Review first holds each application for you. |
| 6 Plain renewal terms | Documented | Cancel in the Stripe portal or by email; paid features run to the end of the paid period. |
| 7 No impossible promises | Not found | We did not read Dreamwork's terms of service to check for a results disclaimer. |
| 8 Data use stated | Not found | Says resumes go to employers only when an application is sent and are not used to train AI models. Does not say whether it sells data. |
"Not found" means the pages we read did not say it. It is not an accusation. How each check is defined.
Who runs Dreamwork?
How much does Dreamwork cost, and can you get a refund?
- Plans
-
The Free plan is $0. It includes unlimited matches, and each day it tailors your resume and cover letter to 5 jobs. Pro is $39 a month or $99 a quarter. It covers 50 applications a month, which you send with Apply or let Autopilot send, and adds a recruiter inbox.[36]
- Trial
-
A new account can use Pro for 7 days without charge. The trial runs on monthly billing, with one per account, and checkout asks for a card. The $39 monthly charge starts when the trial ends unless you cancel.[36]
- Refund
-
Payments are not refundable, and a partly used period is neither refunded nor prorated, except where the law says otherwise. If you cancel during the 7-day Pro trial, you are not charged.[37]
- Renewal and cancelling
-
Plans renew monthly or quarterly, with no annual contract, and can be cancelled anytime. You cancel in the Stripe customer portal, reached from billing in the app, or by writing to support@dreamworkhq.com. That stops the next renewal, and paid features keep working until the period you paid for ends.[36][37]
What does Dreamwork ask you to hand over?
- Data it collects
-
Your email and the account details you choose to add (name, LinkedIn URL, phone, mailing address, location), your resume and its parsed text, your job pipeline, and saved application answers. For paid plans it stores Stripe customer and subscription IDs, not card details. It does not list LinkedIn login credentials among the data it collects.[38]
- How it uses your resume
-
Your resume goes to an employer only when an application is sent, by you or by Autopilot. Dreamwork says it does not use your personal resume content to train public, third-party, or its own general-purpose AI models.[38]
- Deleting your account
-
Delete account in Profile removes your profile, resumes, applications, and messages, cancels any subscription immediately, and removes personal data within 30 days.[38]
- Advertising
-
There are no ads, and employers cannot pay for placement.[36]
Does Dreamwork submit applications without you?
- What it writes
-
For every role, a resume and cover letter fitted to the job, and replies to the application questions that employer asks.[36]
- Review step
-
Nothing goes to an employer until you tap Apply on a role, unless Autopilot is on. With Review first switched on, each application waits for you to read it, edit it and send it.[38]
- What its own walkthrough shows
-
The 8-minute walkthrough Dreamwork posted on YouTube (October 2026) puts the matches, the tailored resume and the submit step on screen. It is what the product shows in its own walkthrough, not a test we ran.[39]
- Autopilot
-
Autopilot, on a paid plan, applies only where the match score is above the minimum you set. One tap pauses it.[36]
- Where it cannot submit
-
Where an employer's site does not support automatic submit, Dreamwork leaves the application ready for you to send.[36]
- Limits it states
-
Dreamwork names three limits of its own. It has fewer listings outside tech. Some sites do not support automatic submit, and there you send the pack yourself. And for a search run mostly through referrals and networking, it says LinkedIn serves you better.[36]
What else do Dreamwork's terms say?
- What we could not check
-
We did not read Dreamwork's terms of service, so this file does not report its liability cap, dispute terms, or what it says about job sites that restrict automation. Read them before you subscribe, as you would for any tool here.[36]
Where can you read complaints about Dreamwork?
We do not quote star ratings, because a score changes daily and we cannot check how reviews were gathered. Read the complaints yourself and look for repeats: refunds refused, renewals after cancelling, accounts restricted on a job site.
- We did not confirm a Trustpilot page for Dreamwork.
- Search the Better Business Bureau for Dreamwork. We link the search, not a profile, because we did not confirm which BBB listing belongs to which company.
- Your bank or card issuer. If a charge is wrong and the company will not fix it, a dispute through your card issuer is the standard route.
If Review first is what you want, you can start on Dreamwork's free plan and check what it asks for before you upgrade.
